Gilsonite suspension LF is a liquid gilsonite suspension specially designed to stabilize water sensitive, micro-fractured clay materials.

Gilsonite suspension LF is a liquid product rapidly dispersing in water-based drilling fluids.

The product mix helps to isolate clay shale as well as block microfractures and permeable zones. Stays thermally stable at temperatures up to 204 °C.

Benefits

Helps to stabilize the well walls.

Forms an impermeable film on the well wall, prevents the penetration of the filtrate into the rock structure.

Does not significantly affect the rheological properties.
Inhibits clay hydration.

Helps to reduce the risk of differential pressure sticking and torque / puff growth.

Meets environmental standards.

Rates and recommendations

Gilsonite suspension LF is added to the drilling fluid through a hydraulic funnel or directly into the drilling fluid tank.
Standard concentration is 5−30 kg/m3 depending on drilling conditions.

Packaging

Metal barrels 200 liters.

Upon agreement with the customer, can be supplied in alternative packaging.
